RPET the eco-friendly plastic
RPET: the eco-friendly plastic
The world has a plastic problem. We see it on the news and on our social media feeds. But is all plastic bad?
The answer is no! Around the world, people have been looking for a solution that retains the good properties of plastics with sustainable design. The result is RPET.
What is RPET plastic?
RPET stands for recycled polyethylene terephthalate. Most of the plastic that you come across daily would fall into the category of a non-recycled PET plastic. And the world is full of the stuff.
Luckily, RPET is a far better solution. It recycles the old PET plastic, that would otherwise have gone in landfill, and creates new plastics that can be used for a variety of purposes.
What are the environmental benefits of RPET plastic?
RPET plastic is 100% recyclable meaning that you will not need to see these plastics washed up on beach or floating about in the oceans.
They have a lower carbon footprint too. It takes much less energy to create RPET plastic packaging that it does to make brand new PET plastics.
One of the reasons that plastics have become so mainstream is because they are light. It means that reduces transportation costs and consequently carbon emissions. RPET manages to retain these properties whilst being a more sustainable solution.

This is a great example of how we are utilising RPET to bring you products that fit your needs whilst remaining environmentally conscious.
